Glimmer - A New Hope: Inspiration written in second person

Glimmer.

Sound shiny? Well, that was the first thought that arose in my mind when I heard this word, and it is supposed to be shiny. But, I am not referring to bling or diamonds or light. I am referring to ideas.

Ideas.

They don't come very often, and this word gives hope towards those that struggle creatively regarding an idea. The lexicon definition for glimmer, a noun, is "a faint, wavering light" which can also be a symbolism for hope.

I have been attending writing classes for the past month through a veteran's program. As many of you know, I love to write. It is my passion, and it is my liberating expression, just as music is to a singer, theater is to an actor or art is to an artist; it is my art form. However, like an artist it takes a lot of creative prowess to harness creativity. Sometimes those rarest moments of insight come in the most unexpected ways. There are days that writing is a drudgery riddled like a kludge assembled together. Hence, I have learned that "glimmers", through this writing class, is a sort of inspiration that we should write down. Sometimes, it is the start of something beautiful.

Hence, I might be writing some glimmers that I gain that I write in a journal; and adding some of them to this blog for criticism. It will be a way to understand more of my mind, and a way to entertain my readers. Furthermore, I think it will help keep this blog more up - to - date. As you can see, some of my blog posts don't have a consistent time frame; and hence, I think these "glimmers" will help with my writing and my blog.

Glimmers will be my new hope towards building my ideas, my creative talent and improving this blog. Hence, this is my first glimmer that I derived from my writing journal.

Glimmer: Inspiration Written in Second Person

You walk first wondering how you made decisions in your life. You wonder if ending a situation too soon will be the best choice for you. You don't know if what you chose is the best decision; but the feeling is positive that you know it is the right one. Reflecting upon previous decisions you wonder and you ponder if the decisions have been correct. Resoundingly, the voice says yes! You make that conscious decision knowing that plan is in place with the help of counselors and friends who have cared for you. Rationally it is full proof. You shouldn't have to doubt. You're given every chance to succeed. You're motivated. Your brain is full of ideas. You're ready to go compared to where you were two months ago. Your senses are piqued knowing you have both the tools and the skills needed to succeed.

You shouldn't doubt nor should you second guess where you will be in six years. Time will tell the destiny as long as you put your shoulder to the wheel. It shouldn't be that hard as you can't tell the future; and you already love to work.

Character. Passion. Charisma. Ideas. Everything is set.

Ready to go.

Life is where it needs to be and you should know that your decisions have led you to this point. You're ready - and nothing should stop you.

Let go of your fears.
